How it works. There are several categories – slope, material, color, standards & rebates – to help you narrow down the roof product options to find the best cool roof products for you. Begin by selecting the slope of your roof. You can chose “steep”, “low” or select “any” if you are not shopping for a specific roof. Use the other categories to narrow down your cool roof product options. In both the material and color category you can select “any” but you can also select one or more options. If you live in California or are searching for cool roof products that meet Energy Star, experiment with the standards and rebates filters to find cool roof products that meet local California building codes and rebate rewards from your local utility.
To aid your search, there are “I” icons that pop up with helpful descriptions and there are images of the roof products for each of the material types as well as examples of roof products for each of the colors. To view the images, just scroll over the different material types and colors for the images to pop open and click on the images to enlarge them. To start a new search, use the reset button and keep in mind, once you submit your search, you will directed to the Cool Roof Rating Council’s Product Directory to view the roof products that meet your search criteria. Once you review the results, share those with your local roofing contractor or building supply store to find them and discuss pricing.
